Dean Tilman manages the overall operations of direct hard money lender Paces Funding, the largest hard money lender in Atlanta. He oversees staff or personally handles marketing, originating, underwriting, and loan servicing efforts for the company. He originates and underwrites hundreds of loans every year. Because of that, Dean sees many trends in the local market. He prides himself on helping newer investors avoid some of the mistakes of real estate investing. An affiliate company manages over 100 single family and multi-family properties.
Dean has been a full time hard money lender and real estate investor since 2004. Prior to real estate, Dean was a consultant for Accenture and held sales and management positions in several technology companies. Dean graduated from the University of Florida with both a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA specializing in finance.
Dean is a member of a number of real estate organizations. He has served as Vice President and Director of Professional Services for GaREIA Board of Directors. His responsibility was to oversee the relationships with the Business Associates and how they can support the general membership. He is a member of American Association of Private Lenders and is a contributor to several national real estate lending events.
Dean is a frequent speaker at various real estate events in the Atlanta market, has been interviewed on a number of podcasts, and has been a regular in-studio contributor to the John Adams radio show.
