In our final installment of Realtor.com’s annual list of the top 10 hottest housing zip codes across the country, we complete our countdown to the No. 1 suburb where millennial homebuyers are flocking to get more space for their money.

#3. Peabody, Massachusetts (Boston)

Peabody, ZIP code 01960, is part of Massachusetts’ North Shore and is located 20 miles northeast of the city of Boston. Properties in Peabody are more affordable than in Boston, and the locale boasts easy access to vacation spots along the New England coast. The median listing price in Peabody is 11 percent lower than the Boston metro area, but it’s 62 percent higher than the national median home price.

#2.  West Irondequoit, New York (Rochester)

West Irondequoit’s 14617 ZIP code situates it in the northwestern part of New York along Lake Ontario. The town strikes an ideal balance between new developments and local history. The median listing price there rose by more than 9 percent since last year, but it remains 28 percent lower than the Rochester metro area, and 55 percent less than the national median home price.

This area is distinguished by affordable homes and a plethora of outdoor activities. It’s also home to Peterson Space Force Base and the Colorado Springs Airport. The city’s median listing price is up by nearly 20 percent year-over-year, but it is still 17 percent lower than the national median home price.
