Properties in Peabody are more affordable than in Boston, and the locale boasts easy access to vacation spots along the New England coast. The median listing price in Peabody is 11 percent lower than the Boston metro area, but it’s 62 percent higher than the national median home price.

The city’s median listing price is up by nearly 20 percent year-over-year, but it is still 17 percent lower than the national median home price.
